Aaron Byrd signified what it is to be a true student-athlete with his play on the field and his work in the classroom. He played in 72 games in his four years and was a three-time captain. He tallied 56 points on 19 goals and 18 assists in his Titan career. His best season statistically came as a freshman, leading the team in assists (seven) while tallying 15 points and helping the Titans reach the MCC Championship. He earned All-Horizon League First Team as a senior and was also CoSIDA Academic All-District, one of the first men’s soccer players to receive that academic accolade. He would go on to play professionally for more than a decade.
