She was the most decorated individual on UDM’s first women’s cross country and track teams. Between 1984 and 1987, she earned all-conference recognition in cross country in all four of her varsity seasons. She led U-D to the MCC Championship in 1986 and again a year later as a senior. She also won the conference individual championship in 1987 and was also an outstanding performer on the track. She graduated holding the school records in the 1000 and 1500 meters.

In 2007, she became the first female cross country and track and field star to be inducted into the Titan Hall of Fame.
