Malinowski was an All-Catholic, All-America center in 1945 and an All-Western linebacker in 1947. He was a great quarterback who ran the offense to an average of over 400 yards per game over two seasons. He also won three letters in basketball at U-D. He went on to quarterback the Boston Patriots of the AFL for two years.
