One of the most feared hitters to wear a Titan uniform, Lawrence Scheffer was a three-time All-MCC selection, including First Team as a junior and senior, and was also tabbed All-Region as a senior. He is tied for first in school history in doubles (50) and ranks third in both home runs (33) and RBI (154), while fourth in total bases (348). He tallied single-season Titan records in slugging percentage (.792), home runs (18), total bases (137) and ranks third in RBI (58). He hit over .320 in each of his last three seasons, including batting .370 with 18 homers and 58 RBI as a senior. The Titans posted 101 wins and won the MCC East Division in his final season and he would go on to play independent ball after college in the Pioneer and Frontier Leagues.
