He was named All-America in 1952 and 1953 and led the team in scoring for three years. He still holds the U-D career free throw record and ranks 7th in career scoring with 1,494 points. He was a 2nd round NBA draft pick of the Rochester Royals (Sacramento Kings franchise) playing one season with the Royals and seeing action in 63 games.
