Joyce coached the golf team for 26 years which stands as the longest coaching stint ever at U-D. His 1951 team turned in a 13-3 dual meet record. He served on the Constitutional Committee of the NCAA Golf Coaches Association and also was a distinguished professor of law at U-D.
