DETROIT (3/8/2021) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's soccer program heads to Wisconsin for contests in each of the next two weeks, beginning with a Wednesday clash in Green Bay against the Phoenix. Start time for the Horizon League match is 2 p.m. ET and 1 p.m. locally in Green Bay.

Detroit Mercy is 1-2-1 in Horizon League play entering this week's match. Green Bay (0-1 HL) has played just one game this season, falling to Northern Kentucky at home, 3-1, last Wednesday.
The Titans
The Titans have out-shot all four opponents this season and hold a 65-44 shot advantage over their foes through four contests in the 2021 spring season. Detroit Mercy has three goals with freshman
Erica Toupin, junior
Julie Ann Piechocki and senior
Olivia Parra all scoring goals for the red, white and blue. Freshman
Paige Myers has one assist for the Titans.
Toupin also leads the team in shots (16) and shots on goal (nine), while Piechocki ranks second on the team with 13 shots. Freshman goalkeeper
Marisa Silver has played every single minute in net in four games for the Titans and has a 72.2% save percentage and 1.18 goals-against average to go along with 13 total saves in 2021.

Steve Shelton is in his second season as the leader of the Titans.
Last Time Out
The Titans played outdoors for the first time in the 2021 season on Wednesday afternoon at home, but were unable to knock off Metro Series rival Oakland in a 2-0 home setback from Titan Field. Detroit Mercy out-shot Oakland in the match, 10-6, however, the Golden Grizzlies were able to push across a goal in each half in the contest in Detroit.
Piechocki and junior defender
Hannah Alexis combined for five shots, with Piechocki tallying three and Alexis firing two for the Titans in the match. Freshman
Alexis McNeil and Parra also each had a shot on goal for the red, white and blue in the contest.
Scouting Green Bay
The Phoenix have completed just one game in 2021, playing their first contest last Wednesday at home against NKU, a 3-1 setback for Green Bay. The Phoenix missed the first four contests of the season due to Covid-19.
Senior forward Caitlyn Hawley (three goals in 2019) scored a goal in the 81st minute of Green Bay's 2021 opener. The Phoenix out-shot NKU in the match, 15-13. Junior Emily Murphy had a team-best five shots, two of them on frame, in the opener. Goalkeepers Isabel Dunning (one save) and Taylor Reichow (two saves) split time in goal for the Phoenix against NKU.
Phoenix head coach Jason Spain enters his second year at the helm of the program and led the program to a 7-10-1 record in the 2019 season.

The Titans and Phoenix have matched up 30 times previously in women's soccer, with Detroit Mercy holding a 23-3-4 advantage against Green Bay. The Titans are 8-2-2 all-time in road games against the Phoenix.
In 2019, the two teams played to a 0-0 draw in Detroit on Sept. 28, 2019. In the last game played in Green Bay, the Titans came away with a 1-0 victory on Oct. 13, 2018 on a
Nasreen Kobeissi golden goal in the 92nd minute of the match.

Detroit Mercy returns to the pitch next Wednesday, again returning to Wisconsin to face Milwaukee. The Titans then close out the regular season with two of three at home from Titan Field, hosting Robert Morris on Wednesday, March 24 and UIC on Tuesday, March 30, before facing Cleveland State in Cleveland on Monday, April 5.
