Senior Brittany Horne (Okemos, MI/Okemos) threw for a new personal record in the hammer as the lone Titan representative on the women's team competed at the NCAA Mideast Regional on Friday afternoon at Cardinal Park in Louisville, KY.

Competing in the first of three flights, Horne fouled on her first attempt, but came back to achieve the mark with a 51.99m/170'7" toss, finishing 23rd overall.

It is the first time in her career that Horne had participated in the regional championships, earning her way there by winning the hammer at the Horizon League Championships. Horne owns top 10 marks in school history in the discus, hammer, shot put and weight and still has one more season of eligibility left in a Titan uniform.
