Detroit had to play without offensive threat
Otieno Victor (Kisumu Nyanza, Kenya), who did not make the road trip due to an injury. The Titans responded by using a heavy rotation of players against the Raiders. “Everybody played a big part in tonight's game,” Deren added. “We had a lot of guys getting solid minutes.
Matt Nedwicki (Dearborn, MI/Divine Child) has made the most of his time on the field as he had another good game tonight.”
The Titans controlled the action early, even though the score remained tied at 0-0 after the first half. “We were on a mission tonight early in the game,” Deren said. “We had opportunities early, but we couldn't put it away.”
Brandon Waterstradt (Dearborn Heights, MI/Detroit Catholic Central) was the goalkeeper for Detroit. Waterstradt help the team pick up the shutout by making two saves. “Conference wins on the road are a premium and very tough to get,” Deren said. “This was a good win for us.”
