With 10 games under their belts, the Titans head to Dayton, OH, to begin league play with three games against HL foe Wright State University this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, March 26-27. Weather has pushed Saturday's start time back by one hour to 2:00 p.m., and the teams will meet again at noon on Sunday.

Can't make it to the ballpark? You can still stay up to the minute by checking out live stats of the weekend series. Check out Saturday's first game right here, and game two here. And for Sunday's contest, look right here.

The last time out – UDM (2-8) played host to in-state rival Central Michigan University on Wednesday afternoon, but a pair of solid pitching performances from the Chippewas kept the Titans off the scoreboard.

A surge of offensive power from CMU, which banged out five home runs in the twin bill that accounted for 13 of the Chippewas 17 runs, led the Titans to a 9-0 loss in game one, and an 8-0 loss in game two.

The Raiders (8-15) will be taking the field for the first time since winning a pair of squeakers over Ohio University Tuesday. WSU trailed Ohio 4-0 in game one of a doubleheader, but put up a pair of runs in each the fourth and fifth innings to draw even. Ohio regained the lead in the top of the seventh, but Raider senior outfielder Jamie Perkins doubled to right center in the bottom half of the inning to give Wright State a 6-5 win.

Perkins played the role of hero again in game two against Ohio. This time, it was a double in the bottom of the eighth inning off Perkins' bat that propelled the Raiders to a 3-2 extra-winning victory.

Titans-Raiders – Detroit trails Wright State in the overall series, 16-22, after dropping three games to the Raiders last season. The last UDM victory in the series came on May 3, 2007, when Detroit came out on top of a 4-1 final at Buysse Ballpark in the first game of a doubleheader.

In 2009, senior catcher Jessica Liebner (Ortonville, MI/Brandon) went 2-for-3 in the second game of their doubleheader, scoring one run, and sophomores Rachel Copple (Dearborn Hts., MI/Allen Park Cabrini) and Krissy Pitock (Carleton, MI/Carleton-Airport) recorded one hit apiece. But the Titans were unable to string hits together, scoring both their runs off WSU errors, and fell 10-2 after dropping the first game of the day, 9-0.

In the third game of last year's season series, senior center fielder Erica Houthoofd (Unionville, MI/Unionville-Sebewaing Area) was 3-for-4 at the dish, scoring two runs driving in one, and Pitock scored a pair of runs for Detroit while going 2-for-3. UDM led, 1-0, after the first inning, but WSU put up a four runs in both the second and third inning to pull out front. The Titans matched the Raiders, scoring three runs in the fifth and one in the sixth, but were unable to climb out of the early hole, falling 14-7.
