Senior Rachel McHenry shot an opening 83 to lead the Titan women's golfers on the first day of action at the Don Benbow Invitational.

Horizon League rival Butler is hosting the two-day tournament in Jacksonville Beach, FL.

Junior Alainna Stefan was next in line for the Titans with an 86. Detroit shot 346 overall to stand eighth as a team.

The tournament concludes Tuesday.
