Pub Crawl Invitation
August brings many Titan Club activities for 2010, including the Absopure Titan Club Golf Outing and the Detroit Titan Club Pub Crawl. The pub crawl is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010 in Ferndale.
In celebration of recent and future Titan success, the Detroit Titan Club Pub Crawl will bring awareness to the UDM athletic program and allow current and future Titan Club members an opportunity to visit with coaches and staff. The six-bar salute to the Titan Club will include: The Bosco, Post Bar, Sneakers Pub, Woodward Avenue Brewers, Club Bart and Dino's Lounge.
“Detroit Titan Athletics is experiencing a period of excitement,” explained Michael Hamann, current Titan Club President. “The idea for a pub crawl will build upon the excitement with current Titan Club members and we hope to have a strong increase in young alumni through events such as this.”
For this event, a number of popular Ferndale bars along Woodward have agreed to participate, offering a variety of drink and food specials to all Titan Club members and potential Titan Club members:
• The Bosco - 2:00-3:00 p.m. (registration, raffle and t-shirt pickup)
• Post - 3:00-4:00 p.m.
• Sneakers - 4:00-5:00 p.m.
• Woodward Avenue Brewers - 5:00-6:00 p.m.
• Club Bart - 6:00-7:00 p.m.
• Dino's Lounge - 7:00 p.m. - ?
All participants will be identified with a FREE Detroit Titan Club T-shirt, which they will receive at registration (there is no registration fee for the pub crawl). The names of all bars will be in a program with raffle tickets for each bar included, so as crawlers travel from bar to bar, special bartenders will have an area for you to drop in your raffle ticket. At the completion of each bar visit, a raffle ticket will be drawn for great Titan prizes!
