Alexandra Suschak (Brecksville, OH/Brecksville) earned Horizon League Co-Women's Soccer Player of the Week honors for her efforts with the Titans this past week.
Suschak earned the honor after helping Detroit to a 2-0 week. On Thursday, the Titans played Madonna University at Titan Field with Detroit serving as the road team. In that game, Suschak scored a pair of goals in a 6-0 victory with both markers coming off set pieces on corner kicks.
In Sunday's match against IUPUI, Suschak added her third tally of the week in the 3-0 win. Her goal was a free kick that made its way around the defensive wall and beat the keeper in the bottom left corner of the net.
Suschak also helped a defense that allowed no goals this week while playing every minute of both games.
Detroit's next action will be on the West Coast as the team will play at San Diego State on September 3 and at Pepperdine on September 5. You can follow live stats for each game online through links to be posted on the women's soccer page at www.detroittitans.com. The next home game for Detroit is on September 17 against Central Michigan at 4:00p.m.
