NCAA Stats

DETROIT -- The Detroit men's lacrosse team has been one of the most aggressive defenses in the nation in the last two years and the latest NCAA stats reflect just that as the Titans currently lead the country in caused turnovers at 11.82 per game.

Leading the way for the caused miscues are sophomores Jordan Houtby (St. Catharines, ON/Holy Cross Secondary) and Jamie Hebden (Farmington Hills, MI/Brother Rice), who are both in the top 10 in that category. Houtby is second in Division I with 3.36 per game, while Hebden is ninth averaging 2.09 per contest. Junior Jason McDonald (Bayport, NY/Bayport-Blue Point) also finds himself in the top 50 as he is 43rd at 1.55 per game.

As a team, UDM ranks 14th in the country in ground balls at 33.91, and 16th in saves per game posting 11.45.

Individually, Houtby ranks eighth in GB's collecting 6.73, while sophomore goalie A.J. Levell's (Columbus, OH/Dublin Scioto) 10.82 saves per game has him 16th.

Offensively, freshman Shayne Adams' (St. Catharines, ON/Denis Morris) 27 goals are the third most in the country - and the most among freshman laxers – while his 2.45 goals per game stands 13th.

Junior Scott Harris (Saline, MI/Saline) is the other Titan ranked high as he is 35th in assists tallying 1.36 per outing.
