IWLCA Release

GRAND LAKE, CO – The Detroit Titan women's lacrosse team earned Academic Squad honors for the 2011 season as announced by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA).

The IWLCA recognized 56 Division I schools for the 2011 season. The Titans earned Academic Squad honors for the second straight year.  To earn the honor a school must hold a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. Eleven teams that participated in the NCAA Championships were named as Academic Squads.

More than half of the teams in the National Lacrosse Conference earned the honor. Davidson, Jacksonville, Liberty, and Longwood made the list along with the Titans.
