MAAC Weekly Release

EDISON, N.J. -- The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced its first weekly awards for the 2012 season and Titan sophomore Scott Drummond (Birmingham, MI/Seaholm) was honored as the MAAC Rookie of the Week.

Since it was the first weekly awards of the season, all the nominees were allowed to use all games played up to this point.

Drummond – who sat out last season – has tallied two goals and an assist so far through four games. He has started the last two games and came away with a goal and an assist in the win over Michigan as well as finding the back of the net at #6 North Carolina.

Detroit – the MAAC Preseason favorite – will be back in action on Saturday as the Titans visit the Bears of Mercer. Game time is scheduled for 1:00 p.m., at Bear Field in Macon, Ga.
