After falling 18-8 to the nationally-ranked Tar Heels, the Titans will play game two of a five-game road swing when they visit Mercer on Saturday. Game time is set for 1:00 p.m., at Bear Field.

Detroit heads into the game at 1-3, but two of those losses were to ranked teams in Delaware (#19) and UNC, while the other was to an Ohio State squad that recently upended #5 Denver. The lone win was a 13-9 victory over Michigan.
Sophomore
Joel Matthews (St. Catharines, ON/Holy Cross) leads the team in scoring with 14 points on seven goals and a team-high seven assists. He has scored a goal in every game this season and is coming off back-to-back five-point performances against Michigan and North Carolina.
Sophomore
Shayne Adams (St. Catharines, ON/Denis Morris) tops the team with 11 goals, while sophomore
Alex Maini (Lynbrook, NY/Lynbrook) is third on the team in scoring with eight points (3G, 5A).
Defensively, junior
Jordan Houtby (St. Catharines, ON/Holy Cross) continues to play a stellar LSM position, leading the team with 10 caused turnovers and 22 ground balls.
Detroit dominated Mercer last year, 19-3, in a home game at Ultimate Soccer Arenas. Adams set a school record with seven goals in the contest, while Houtby tied his school record with six caused turnovers and set the Titan mark securing 11 GB's. Maini had his first collegiate hat trick finishing with three goals and an assist, while
Scott Harris (Saline, MI/Saline) added a pair of goals and assists.
Mercer is 0-3 on the year with a pair of setbacks to Ohio State (15-8) and North Carolina (20-7). The Bears have also fallen to Bellarmine, 13-5.
Zach Ward paces the offense with five goals and eight points. Cole Branch has four goals and a team-high four assists, while Justin Evans has posted a 56.9% winning percentage in face-offs, collecting a team-best 27 ground balls in the process.
After the Titans trip to Macon, GA, UDM will have trips to Georgetown, Quinnipiac and Canisius before the campus opener against Marist on Mar. 24.
