DETROIT -- Looking for a school record fourth-straight win, the Detroit Titans will take their 2-0 conference record on the road as UDM visits Manhattan on Saturday. Game time is set for 1:00 p.m., at Gaelic Park in Riverdale, NY.

Fans can follow all the action with a live stats feed or purchase a webcast for a small fee.

Detroit enters the game at 5-4, the first time in the four-year history that the Titans are over. 500. UDM is also perfect in MAAC play after a thrilling 8-7 victory in overtime against Marist last week.

The Titans started their three-game winning streak on the road with wins over Quinnipiac (13-10) and Canisius (17-12) before outlasting the Red Foxes. The win was also the seventh in the last nine regular season MAAC games dating back to the 2010 season.

Senior Scott Harris provided much of the offense last week with a team-high three goals. The midfielder is now third on the team with 14 goals and fourth with 18 points.

Sophomore Joel Matthews had the gamewinner in the extra session, his only goal of the game. The attackman leads the Titans and the MAAC in total points (38) and goals (23) and is 11th in Division I with 4.22 points per game. Among active players in the country, Matthews is fourth in both points (3.58) and goals (2.50) per game.

Sophomore Shayne Adams is second on the team with 19 goals and 22 points. He currently ranks ninth among active players with 2.25 goals per game.

In fact the tandem of Adams and Matthews is the 10th highest scoring duo in the NCAA combing for 60 points so far.

Junior Jordan Houtby – who was recently tabbed the No. 1 impact Canadian by LacrosseInsideTheGame.com – leads an aggressive defense ranking second in the country with 2.67 caused turnovers per game. His 44 ground balls tops the team, while his 194 career GB's is sixth most among active players.

Manhattan is 3-5 on the season, but 0-1 in league play after falling at Canisius last week, 11-7.

Brian McGrath leads the team in scoring with 11 goals and 15 points. No other Jasper has cracked double digits in goals, but 13 different players have found the back of the net this season.

Rich Akapnitis is the starter in between the pipes and has posted a .561 saves percentage and a 10.80 goals against average.

This will be the fourth career meeting between the two schools with the Jaspers owning a 2-1 advantage. Last season, Detroit was victorious in the Motor City as Alex Maini tallied a game-high four goals and five points. Harris and Adams added two goals, while junior A.J. Levell made 14 saves in the cage.

UDM is 0-1 at Manhattan falling to the Jaspers, 11-8, in 2010. The Titans also had a 14-9 setback in a neutral field in 2009.
