Six members of the indoor track and field team in Taylor Hennrick, Chris Smalley and Erik Westbrook from the men's side and Amanda Campbell, Susan Kalkstein and Katrina Oberski from the women's team in addition to Ray McCallum from men's basketball were all honorees.

76 Horizon League athletes were recognized as balloting was conducted by the League's faculty athletics representatives and sports information directors as the League continues to recognize student-athletes for their success both in competition and in the classroom.

The Horizon League recognizes student-athletes with seasonal Academic All-League Teams in each of its 19 championship sports. He set a new PR in the 3000m with a time of 9:11.58 and also ran the 5000m distance event in 15:46.17.

Campbell has already earned a bachelor's degree in health service administration from UDM and is working towards her MBA at Detroit. This year, she set a PR in the pentathlon at the Youngstown State National Invitational with 2,809 points and established seven personal bests during the season in her return to the track. She also placed fifth in the pentathlon at the Horizon League Indoor Championships.

Kalkstein will be a Co-Valedictorian of the graduating class of 2012 at UDM for this year's commencement ceremony in May. The English literature major has a cumulative GPA of 3.982.

Oberski like Westbrook was also named to the Fall Academic All-League team. She also established a new career best in the mile run (5:18.75) placing 16th at Grand Valley State on Feb. 17.
