DETROIT -- The lacrosse season came to an end for both the men's and women's programs as both fell in the semifinals of their respective conference tournaments, but each team did receive two players on the All-Tournament.
On the men's side, junior
A.J. Levell (Columbus, OH/Dublin Scioto) and sophomore
Alex Maini (Lynbrook, NY/Lynbrook) were named to the MAAC All-Tournament Team, while senior
Anna Eidem (Champlin, MN/Totino-Grace) and sophomore
Tara Grady (San Jose, CA/Pioneer) earned NLC All-Tournament status.
Eidem led the Titans in scoring in the NLC Tournament with 10 goals and 11 points. She scored those 10 goals on just 13 shots and also registered three draw controls, two caused turnovers and two ground balls. In the quarterfinals victory over Liberty, she led Detroit with seven goals and eight points and then came back for a hat trick with three markers against Jacksonville.
Grady saved her best performance for the postseason coming up with a career-high four goals versus the sixth-seeded Flames. She had five shots in that contest, while grabbing two draw controls and a ground ball.
Levell earns the honor for the second-straight year. He came up with 14 saves, including nine in the first half, against the eventual MAAC champion Canisius. He also recorded two ground balls and had his first career goal at the end of the contest.
Maini tied for the team lead with three points on two goals and an assist. He also had three ground balls and a caused turnover.
