2012 Legends & Traditions (PDF)
DETROIT (9/10/12) -- Former Detroit Titan great Rashad Phillips '01 recently RSVP'd to attend the Titans Legends & Traditions Weekend that will take place on September 21-22 at Calihan Hall. The event will feature numerous legends dating back to the 1950's.
Phillips, the Titans all-time leading scorer finished his career with 2,319 points, while leading Detroit to three postseason appearances including two trips to the NCAA Tournament in 1998 and 1999. Phillips also led the Titans to the NIT Final Four in 2001. Phillips averaged 15.7, 23.0 and 22.4 points per game and is the last Titan to average 20+ points in back-to-back seasons.
The Titan tradition includes 104 seasons of basketball with 1,326 wins, 21 NBA/ABA draft picks, 17 All-American selections, 12 post-season appearances, three Horizon League Tournament Championships and two Horizon League Regular Season titles. Each Titan contributed to these accomplishments and deserves to be celebrated.
