Men’s Lacrosse Host Successful 7v7 High School Tournament

DETROIT (9/8/2012) -- Titan Field was full of lacrosse action on Saturday as the University of Detroit Mercy men's lacrosse program held its 4th Annual 7v7 High School Tournament.

Close to 15 teams and 150 high school athletes were on campus showing off their skills on a cool fall day. All the teams were guaranteed four games.

With Titan Field broken into three separate playing fields, the day showcased a ton of talent, a lot of fast paced action and high intensity games.

“It was a fun day and great to see a lot of the local community, clubs and teams that have supported us from the start come out for this event,” said assistant coach Chris Kolon. “All of the kids played hard and all of their family and friends had a chance to be on campus and see what Titan lacrosse is all about.”

The Detroit men's lacrosse team would like to thank all the schools and players that participated and for everyone to look for future camps and clinics that the program will have in the future.
