Titan Lacrosse Practice Video
DETROIT (1/11/13) -- School is back in session and with the spring semester starting up, that means all the spring sports will begin play soon and the Titan men's lacrosse team just ended its first week of practice.
“We have come out with a real good effort so far,” said senior midfielder and captain
Chris Nemes. “We have all come out with a real positive attitude.”
Detroit – like it has since its inception in 2009 – practices for the most part at its indoor facility at Ultimate Soccer Arenas in Pontiac.
Now in its fifth year of varsity competition, the Titans have established themselves as a contender in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, and with the competition in the MAAC always tough, Detroit knows that the preseason practice needs to be at a high level if they want to win its first conference championship.
“We have put forth a lot of effort,” said senior defender and captain
Jamie Hebden. “A lot of young guys are stepping up and we are just continuously working hard and improving.”
UDM still has a month left in its training as the red, white and blue open the season at Ohio State on Feb. 9. The Titans will play three straight on the road before their home opener against Quinnipiac on March 2.
