DETROIT (10/23/2013) -- Basketball is literally just around the corner and for the University of Detroit Mercy men's and women's teams, Wednesday was a day to kick back and enjoy celebrity status at the Annual Titan Media Day, held inside historic Calihan Hall.

The media and CAL Club members had the opportunity to come out and listen to a formal press conference - which was broadcast live on HLN Detroit - where UDM Director of Athletics Robert C. Vowels, CBS Radio Program Director Jimmy Powers, and both Ray McCallum and Autumn Rademacher took to the podium.

The announcement was made that men's basketball games will be back on the radio on 97.1 FM The Ticket and 1270 AM. The Titans will also have at least 18 games on WADL or Comcast, which doesn't include the games already announced to be televised on the ESPN Family of Networks. The women will also have games on WADL and Comcast along with other Olympic sports teams.

After the press conference concluded, the media and both teams moved to Dick Vitale Court to take part in all media requests and interviews. The two squads also donned their uniforms for team shots with the women debuting a new pink uniform to go along with their normal home and away, red and white combination.

The Detroit men's team will open the season with a pair of exhibition games on Oct. 26 and Nov. 2 against Lawrence Tech and Concordia, respectively, before tipping-off the regular season on Friday, Nov. 8 at South Alabama. The women will have one exhibition game on the schedule as the Titans host Marygrove on Oct. 30 before opening the season on the road at Canisius on Nov. 8.

The home opener for both teams will be on Monday, Nov. 11 as the women face Lawrence Tech at 5:00 p.m., with the men battling U-M Dearborn at 7:30 p.m.

Season tickets for the 2013-14 are now on sale. Don't miss a chance to have guaranteed priority seating to watch the Titans at Calihan Hall. For more information on season and general ticket information, CLICK HERE or call the Detroit Ticket Office at (313) 993-1700.
