DETROIT (3/23/2013) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's lacrosse team will look to pick up its first win on the friendly confines of Titan Field as UDM welcomes VMI into the Motor City on Saturday. Game time is scheduled for Noon.
The game will feature an Easter Egg hunt for kids 12 and under as the Titans ring in the Holiday a week ahead of time.
There will be live stats for this event, but no live video. Titan fans can follow every UDM game this season through the men's lacrosse

Detroit (0-6, 0-1 MAAC) played tough on the road last week at Marist, taking a 3-1 lead early in the second, but the Red Foxes went on a run to jump out in front, 9-4. The Titans came rallying back, pulling within two, 9-7, but could not overcome the strong run.
Junior
Alex Maini leads the team with 17 points and 11 goals, ranking sixth in the conference with 2.83 points per game and seventh with 1.83 goals per game. Sophomore
Mike Birney continues his strong sophomore campaign with another three-point performance last week and now has eight goals and 12 points, while sophomore
Brandon Beauregard has seven points and is second on the squad with five assists.
VMI (0-7, 0-1 MAAC) is still looking for its first win on the season after the Keydets fell in their conference opener at home to Canisius, 10-7. VMI has played a tough schedule so far, letting up some big offensive numbers in losing to Navy (20-7), Army (14-8), #6 Virginia (18-4), #17 Lehigh (18-2) and Wagner (18-12).
Russell East leads the team with 16 points on 14 goals and a pair of assists. He is tied for tops in the MAAC in goals and he is second in the conference with 2.0 goals per game. Bernie Mowbray is second on the squad with 11 points on seven goals and four helpers, while Eric Groleau leads the team with five assists.
Matt Lindemann has started all seven games in net and has 102 saves and a 15.11 goals against average.
The Titans have won two of the three meetings with VMI, but the Keydets did pick off Detroit last season at home, 8-7. UDM won the first two career match-ups, 11-8 in 2010 and 13-9 in 2011, both at Titan Field.
Following the game, Detroit will be back on the road as the Titans fly to the Sunshine State to meet Jacksonville next Saturday, Mar. 30.
