DETROIT (4/15/13) - Three of the University of Detroit Mercy senior forward
Doug Anderson's dunks from this past season have been nominated for the fourth annual NCAA Dunk of the Year Tournament, hosted by The Hoops Manifesto.
Anderson's three dunks among the top-16 are the three-quarter-court alley-oop against Alabama State, the reverse alley-oop at Temple and the put back at St. John's. Anderson, the 2013 Denny's Slam Dunk champion, recorded 77 dunks on the season with four of them making the SportsCenter Top-10 plays, including three that finished No.1.
The best dunks from this past college basketball season are squaring off in a March Madness style tournament to determine which dunk reigned supreme for 2013. Each round will be voted on for a week until the champion dunk has been determined.
