DETROIT (2/1/2016) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team will don pink uniforms and shoes when the Titans host Valparaiso for their annual Pink Game on Saturday, Feb. 13, at Calihan Hall.
Game time for the contest is 12 p.m. and is the opener on Homecoming with the Detroit men's basketball team to face Milwaukee at 3. Fans who wear pink before halftime, will get into both games for free.
The Athletic Department has been selling pink ribbons for a minimum of $1, and fans may honor a loved one or survivor by purchasing a ribbon, which will be displayed inside Calihan Hall.
Proceeds from the contest will go towards Gilda's Club, a local cancer support organization based in Royal Oak that has helped more than 10,000 individuals and families since 1998.
All cancer survivors are welcome to attend and will be honored at halftime of the contest.
