DETROIT (9/19/2016) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's lacrosse team returned to action getting on the field for fall practice last week.
"It was a good opening week of practice and it started with a great retreat that I believe brought us closer as a team," said head coach
Chris Kolon '09 (MBA). "Becoming a family and the leadership component is a huge part of this program, and we are off to a great start."
The Titans began practice with a team bonding event getting together for a weekend leadership retreat with Dr. Don DiPaolo at the Colombiere Center in Clarkston, Michigan. Part of the retreat featured former alumni on hand to talk about their experiences and how they can help the Titans of today.
Workouts with the strength and conditioning staff were next followed by getting on the field for the official start of the fall season.
The Titans will host their annual Alumni game on Homecoming Weekend, Oct. 1. All former players are invited back to take part in the game, which is scheduled for 8:00 a.m., on Titan Field. To register to play, contact Graduate Assistant/Director of Lacrosse Operations
