PRINCETON, N.J. (6/19/2018) -- The schedule has been finalized for the 2018 Legends Classic presented by Old Trapper (@legendsbball) as the University of Detroit Mercy will play at California and at Temple to start the 2018-19 campaign.
Under new head coach
Mike Davis, Detroit Mercy will travel to Philadelphia, Penn., to face the Temple Owls on Friday, Nov. 9 and then head out west to battle the Golden Bears of Cal on Thursday, Nov. 15.
St. John's, Temple, VCU, and California will host two games on their home courts in addition to playing a pair of games at the Barclays Center. They are joined in the Legends Classic by Detroit Mercy, Bowling Green, Hampton, and Loyola Maryland.
These four teams will play two road games and then meet in the Subregional Rounds at Detroit Mercy on Nov. 19-20. In the Subregional Round semifinals, Bowling Green will play Hampton, while the host Titans take on Loyola Maryland from Calihan Hall.
The 12th annual Legends Classic presented by Old Trapper is highlighted by St. John's facing Cal and Temple taking on VCU in the semifinals of the Championship Rounds at Barclays Center on Monday, Nov. 19. The semifinal winners will then meet for the Legends Classic presented by Old Trapper title on Tuesday, Nov. 20, preceded by the consolation game. The four regional round hosts combine for 102 NCAA appearances and eight Final Fours.
This will mark the seventh straight year that Barclays Center will host the Legends Classic. Tickets for the Championship Rounds can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com or by calling 800-745-3000. All four games of the Championship Rounds will air on ESPN networks.
