DETROIT (9/1/2018) -- Former University of Detroit Mercy men's basketball standout forward
Jaleel Hogan has signed a deal to play with Welcome in the Uruguayan and South American League.
Hogan played four years for the Titans from 2014-18, scoring 1,082 points - 34th in school history – while shooting 58.9 percent, second all-time in the school record book.
He played in 111 career games with 73 starts and averaged 9.7 points and 4.0 rebounds.
His best season was as a junior in 2016-17 as he finished eighth in the Horizon League in scoring with a career-high 15.2 points per game, while ranking second on the squad and 11th in the league in rebounding with a career-best 5.8 per contest.
Hogan topped the Horizon League and was 23rd in the country in field-goal percentage at 59.1 percent, fourth in school history, and scored in double digits in 25 of his 30 games played with six 20+ point contests - all in conference play – and five double-doubles.
