2011-12:
One of only two Titans to start all 36 games on the year… finished his UDM career with 1,386 points – 17th in Titan history …was second on the team in scoring (13.3)- also eighth in the HL- field goals (155), 3-pointers (49), free throws (118), assists (87) and steals (41)…was fifth on the squad with 4.4 rebounds per game…his 33.6 minutes per game was second on the team and sixth in the league…scored 20+ points in seven games and had 20 for his career… took the most “charges” on the team…recorded six points, three rebounds and two assists in the NCAA Tournament against national runner-up Kansas (3/16)…registered second double-double of the season and fourth of his career with 17 points and 10 rebounds at Cleveland State (2/23) ... had a game-high 24 points in the win vs. Green Bay (2/12)…notched another 20+ point game with 27 at Akron (11/26) ... scored 20 points, including the game-winning free throws in the final seconds of overtime, in the win over Austin Peay (11/23) ... eclipsed the 1,000-point barrier with the final free throw in that game ... flirted with a triple-double in the win vs. Concordia (12 pts, 9 rbs, 8 assts) ... recorded third career double-double with 13 markers and 11 boards at Notre Dame (11/14) ... also had four steals and two assists in that game ... his 11 boards were one shy of a career high ... 2010-11:
Started all but one game for the Titans ... averaged 13.5 points per contest, tied for most on the team ... recorded his 1,000th collegiate point in the win vs. Loyola in the HL First Round (Mar. 1) ... scored the first nine Titan points in that game en route to a game-high 19 ... notched back-to-back 20+ point games to start final homestand and had four 20-point games in the final 10 contests ... scored second 20-point game of the season in the win vs. UIC (2/3/11) ... followed up with a 28-point outburst in the win over Loyola (Feb 5), a season high ... missed his first game as a Titan at Eastern Michigan (12/11/10) due to illness ... scored 24 points against Akron (12/1/10) ... 21 of those points came in the second half alone ... added a 12-point night on Dec. 4, needing just six shots from the floor to acheive it (5-of-6) ... had 18 points at Western Michigan ... tied for team lead with 17 points against Green Bay ... generated five steals in the home-opening win over Indiana Tech (11/19/10) ... led the team with 19 points off 7-of-11 shooting against Butler (1/14/11)... recorded his fourth 20+ point game of the season at Valpo (2/10/11), scoring a game-high 22 points off 8-of-17 shooting... named the Jesuit Basketball Spotlight National Player of the Week (2/10/11) for his efforts.
2009-10:
An immediate impact performer in his first year in a Titan uniform, Simon was named to the All-Horizon League Newcomer team as well as second team All-Conference…Led the Titans in scoring at 14.0 points per game, 11th in the league, earning him the John R. Kirwan Leading Scorer Award…He was also second on the squad in rebounding (5.1) and assists (2.5)…In HL action, Simon was third in scoring (15.6), and tied for 11th in rebounding (5.4)…Had two double-doubles on the year and scored in double figures 26 times, with eight 20+ point games…Also had a pair of 30-point outings...An all-around player, he had five or more rebounds 20 times and handed out four or more assists five times…Twice named the HL Player of the Week…Poured in a career-high 33 points, including 22 in second half, and a career-best 12 boards for his first double-double at Milwaukee…The 33 against the Panthers was the third highest scoring output in the HL on the year and the highest in league play, while his 15 made field goals in the game topped all conference peers…That performance came after a team-high 24-point, five rebound effort at Green Bay and led him to his first POW accolade…Would get the award again as well as the National Jesuit Player of the Week by the Jesuit Basketball Spotlight after averaging 25 points and 7.5 rebounds in two games against UIC (second career double-double with 20 points and 10 boards) and Loyola (30 points, five rebounds and three assists)…Tallied a team-high 24 points in Horizon League’s first round at Valparaiso...In the regular season against the Crusaders, he posted 20 points, 18 in the second half, and six rebounds at the ARC…Scored 23 points with six rebounds versus Butler…Set a career best with seven assists against Robert Morris and matched that at Michigan…Recorded a career-high five steals against the Colonials…Scored 22 points, hitting 5-of-9 from three, against Western Michigan…Led the team with 17 points in his Titan debut against #12 Cal… Earned the Dad Butler Award for determination in recovering from an athletic injury at the annual UDM President’s Athletic and Academic Honors Luncheon.
2008-09:
Sat out the season due to NCAA transfers rules.
AT CENTRAL MICHIGAN:
Simon played 24 games at Central Michigan in 2007-08, starting three times…He averaged 4.1 points and 1.5 rebounds a game… Posted career highs for points (15) and rebounds (7) in the same game, against Central Missouri.
PERSONAL:
Before embarking on his college career, Simon starred at Detroit Community High School for coach Tony Woods… He was selected first-team Class C All-State as a senior by the Detroit Free Press, Detroit News, Associated Press and the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan after averaging 23 points and seven rebounds a game… Led his team to the quarter-finals at the 2007 state tournament… Tabbed Class C Player of the Year by Bankhoops.com… The Detroit News also selected Simon as the No. 9 recruit in the state of Michigan and the Free Press labeled him as one of the Top 100 players in the state prior to his senior season… As a junior, Simon averaged 18.4 points, 7.5 rebounds and 8.8 assists… Played AAU ball with the Michigan Mustangs… His most memorable sports moment came as a sophomore when he led his school to its first-ever state quarter-finals appearance… Lists NBA star Tracy McGrady as his favorite sports hero… His cousin, Randy Brown, played basketball at New Mexico State and for three NBA teams... Undecided in his choice of major.
