Senior distance runner Ben Kendell (Huntington Woods, Mich.) captured a Horizon League title in the 3,000-meters on Sunday at the final day of the Horizon League Indoor Championship. It was the second-straight year that Kendell has won the event. He won the 3,000m with a time of 8:17.21. It was his third HL championship overall after he won the 3,000m last year and 10,000-meters during the outdoor season in 2015. He also placed third in the 5,000-meters with a time of 14:29.73 on Saturday, picking up another six points for the Titans, who finished fourth out of seven teams with a total of 46 points.
