Softball sophomore Allison Smith (Highland, Mich.) started the season off with a bang for the defending Horizon League champs, hitting a go-ahead 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning as the Titans topped Robert Morris, 3-1, in their first game of the season. The four-bagger was her first collegiate hit. Smith had two hits and two walks for the Titans over the four-game set with Robert Morris as the Titans (2-2, 2-2 HL) split the opening series with the Colonials.
