Men's track and field senior Joseph Lietzow (St. Clair Shores, Mich.) broke a school record in the javelin for the Titans over the weekend at the Golden Grizzly Invitational, hosted by Oakland. Lietzow placed second in the event with a throw of 51.11 meters (167-8), breaking an 18-year mark previously set in 2003 by former Titan Jeff Masserang (49.37m/162-1).
