Freshman Alvaro Arce (Seville, Spain) went 2-0 in singles to help the Titans to a 1-1 week, with a 6-1 win over Xavier and a 5-2 loss to Louisville. The newcomer defeated Jan Vrba of the Musketeers, 6-2 and 7-5, for the match-clinching point at Xavier, before dispatching Santiago Salazar of Louisville, 7-6 and 6-2. Arce is tied for third on the team with 10 singles wins in 2018.
