Junior attackman Matthew Vangalen (Orangeville, Ont.) set new single-game school records during Detroit Mercy's 18-8 victory at Manhattan on Saturday. Vangalen totaled a new program high with 11 points, tying both of the school marks with seven goals and four assists. He scored on seven of his eight shots on goal and posted two ground balls and one caused turnover. The Titans officially clinched a MAAC Tournament spot with their victory over the Jaspers.
