Senior Pauline Van Herck (Bascharage, Luxembourg) helped the Titan women's tennis team clinch a Horizon League Championship birth over the weekend, securing the game-winning point in a 4-3 victory over Northern Kentucky on Friday. Van Herck was one of four Titans to secure triumphs in singles, coming from a set down to win 6-7, 7-5, 6-4 from the fifth flight for Detroit Mercy. The sixth-seeded Titans open tournament play on Friday, playing No. 3 seed Oakland in West Lafayette, Ind.
