Men's soccer sophomore Devin Mendez (Tecumseh, Mich.) played a strong game in net during Detroit Mercy's 1-0 setback on Saturday against Milwaukee. The goalkeeper turned away a penalty kick shot early in the second half and then made a sprawling save later in the match to keep the match at 1-0. On the season, Mendez has 20 saves through five games and ranks third in the Horizon League in saves per game (4.0).
