Women's track and field freshman Micah Carey (Sterling Heights, Mich.) won her flight and placed fourth overall in the long jump as the Titans opened the indoor season at the 2019 Notre Dame Blue & Gold Invitational on Friday. Carey's second jump was 5.48 meters (17 feet, 11.75 inches) and was the best for a Titan in December. She was one of two Titans in the top six with teammate Kyri Jackson finishing sixth with a leap of 5.23 meters (17 feet, 2 inches).
