Freshman guard Sylare Starks (Fort Wayne, Ind.) led Detroit Mercy in scoring with 17 points in Saturday's home game against Toledo, sinking 4-of-8 shots from beyond the arc. Starks made her first six shots in the contest in the first half and knocked down all four 3-pointers in the opening 20 minutes of the game. It was her sixth double-figure scoring effort in her first 10 collegiate contests. Starks leads the squad in scoring at 9.9 points per game, which also currently leads all Horizon League freshmen.
