Sophomore outfielder McKenna Tanguay (Trenton, Mich.) went 4-for-9 (.444 batting average) during the opening weekend of the softball season as the Titans went head-to-head against No. 8-ranked Florida State and North Carolina, a team receiving votes. Tanguay had a hit in all four games over the weekend, recording doubles in each game on Sunday. Tanguay was third on the team in batting average (.275) and fourth in hits (42), earning All-Freshman Team honors from the Horizon League a year ago.
