Men's track and field freshman sprinter Dante Bassham (New Baltimore, Mich.) crossed in first place in the 60-meter dash at the Grand Valley State University Big Meet on Saturday. Bassham finished in a time of 6.98, just .005 ahead of the second-place sprinter in the event. He became the seventh Titan ever to break the 7-second mark in the event. He also placed 13th overall in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.75 for the Titans.
