Freshman pitcher Liz Murphy (Maple Ridge, B.C.) earned two victories in the circle for Titan softball in the opening weekend, going 2-1 with a 2.23 ERA in four appearances overall. The Titans went 2-3 at the Total Control Sports Invitational, hosted by UIC. She earned her first collegiate win, pitching five scoreless innings in a 9-1 win over Fort Wayne on Saturday and earned win No. 2 on Sunday, hurling seven innings of one-run ball in a 5-1 complete-game victory over Western Illinois. She allowed just one run in her final 15 innings of the weekend.
