Men's Soccer Falls at Wright State, 2-0

The University of Detroit Mercy men's soccer team was edged by a score of 2-0 at Wright State in a Horizon League match-up Saturday night at Alumni Field in Dayton, OH.

The Titans now own a 2-8-1 overall record (1-3-1 HL), while the Raiders improved to 3-8-1 on the year (2-1-1).

The first goal of the game was scored at the 32:33 mark, as WSU sophomore Jordan Haggit fed the ball to teammate junior Braden Fleak from the left side. Fleak then headed the ball down, which went into the far post to put the score at 1-0.

In the 67th minute, UDM freshman goalkeeper Paul Graf was served a red card, which brought senior Luke Paneccasio in to face a penalty kick. Fleak took the shot for WSU and watched it go into the bottom right corner of the net to put the Raiders up by two.

Graf tallied four saves and allowed one goal in 66:46 minutes of play, while Paneccasio tallied one in the remainder of the contest. WSU sophomore netminder Matt Koewler was in net the entire match and collected one save for the Raiders.

Detroit tallied four shots to WSU's 14, while the Titans had a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks.

The Titans will return to action when they host Cleveland State on Oct. 17 at Titan Field, with kick-off slated for 4 p.m.
