The Titans got off to a very successful 4-2 record, with only one home game played, in the first part of non-conference action and will now look to get off to the same kind of start in league play as Detroit hosts Youngstown State and Cleveland State this week. Senior big man
Eugene Blue and sophomore guard
Jordan Fee sat down to talk about the team and this week's games.

On the team's confidence heading into league play
It gives us a lot of confidence as we head into this week. Going all the way back to the summer tour in Spain, we have gotten off to a good start and really worked hard together as a team. Conference games are the most important games, especially home ones, so we need to continue what we are doing.
On Youngstown State
They can score, but the thing that hurt the most was their guard play last year. It is important that we get some ball pressure and we have done that better so far this season.
On the team's morale after the DePaul game
We were disappointed that we lost since we had a lot of opportunities in that game. We did not play our best, but we still had the chance to win on the road. We missed some second chance points, but we were right there so as long as we keep improving, we will win those games late as the season goes on.

On opening Horizon League play this weekend
It's real important. We had a good start to the season so now we need to get a good start to conference play. The Horizon League is tough, so being able to open up at home is important to us.
On the YSU offense
They have good guards, guys that can score, and we have played against some good guards at Cal and at DePaul so hopefully that will help us get ready for them. Defensively, we need to play good team defense and help each other out and really limit their play.
On the non-conference schedule getting the team ready for league play
Playing on the road and winning on the road is tough and the early part of our schedule has really tested us as a team. We have played a couple of big teams, teams that have made the NCAA Tournament, so that challenge is all geared to getting ready for conference play. Our confidence level is high after this start so we need to keep that momentum going.
