DETROIT (10/1/2015) -- Many former University of Detroit Mercy men's soccer greats returned this past Saturday for the program's annual alumni game at Titan Field. Roughly 20 former players returned to campus to play in a friendly match prior to UDM's home game against Northern Kentucky.

The red and blue teams played to a tightly-contested 7-6 game. Detroit men's soccer head coach Nicholas Deren '99 -- who tallied two goals in the game -- appreciated the return of several players across different eras of Titans men's soccer.

"It was a very slow paced game, which helped me jump into the mix and some of the other guys who came back," Deren said. "A lot of older alumni returned for the annual game and I thought they had a good time. I thought the staff did an excellent job with concessions and set-up and I thought it was a great day overall. I want to thank all of the guys for returning for the alumni game."

Following the alumni match, many of the alumni players stuck around and watched the current Titans play Northern Kentucky to a 1-1 draw at Titan Field.
