GREEN BAY, Wis. (10/10/2015) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's soccer team earned its third shutout in the past five matches Saturday night as the Titans played host Green Bay to a 0-0 draw at Aldo Santaga Stadium. The Titans upped their unbeaten streak to eight matches (3-0-5), the longest as a program since 2005.
It was the fifth-straight draw for the Titans, which has tied each of their four Horizon League matches this season. Detroit moved to 3-2-7 overall (0-0-4 Horizon League). Senior goalkeeper
Nathan Steinwascher went over 300 career saves during the match and earned his third shutout of the season. He made six saves during the contest and recorded his 17th career shutout, just two off tying the all-time career record in program history.
The match marked the 11th time this season Detroit has allowed just one or no goals. The Titans have given up two goals in their past five matches.
How It Happened• Detroit had two shots in the first five minutes of the match. The Titans' first shot on goal came on
Jacob Prud'homme's shot in the 12th minute.
• Green Bay tallied two corner kicks and three shots on goal in the final four minutes of the first half, but the Titan defense was up to the challenge.
