DETROIT, Mich. (10/3/15) – Junior
Anna Mindling scored just five minutes into the game, but the University of Detroit Mercy women's soccer team allowed three unanswered goals to visiting Northern Kentucky to fall to the Norse, 3-1, on a cold and rainy afternoon from Titan Field.
Mindling's goal in the fifth minute sparked a great start for the Titans, who outshot the Norse 8-6 in the first half. It would not be enough, however, as the Norse netted the equalizer midway through the first frame and poured in two goals in what was a sloppy second half for Detroit.
With the loss, the Titans fall to 4-6-2 overall and 1-2-1 in Horizon League play. Meanwhile, the Norse improved to 7-3 on the season and a perfect 3-0 in conference action.

th minute. Katelyn Newton capitalized on a Detroit turnover by sneaking a shot through traffic into the left side of the net.
• Detroit did not go away quietly, with Mindling scorching a sinking-shot from outside the box in the 85
th minute. Her shot caught the crossbar and ricocheted to senior
