MORAGA, Calif. (3/4/2015) -- Eight different players scored and the University of Detroit Mercy women's lacrosse team closed out its California trip with a 16-6 victory over Saint Mary's on Wednesday afternoon.
It's the first victory over Saint Mary's in program history. Detroit improved to 2-3 with the win and scored at least 10 goals for the third straight contest.
Sophomore
Kelsi Pritchard and freshman
Jessica Snyder both tallied hat tricks in the win. For Snyder, it was the first three collegiate goals in her Detroit career. Five players in all scored multiple goals for the Titans. Senior

Michaela Schwartz and freshman
Jordyn Beam all added two goals for the Titans.
Senior
Tessa Keuler added one goal and three assists for the Titans for her fourth-straight multi-point game. Sophomore
Julie Castner also had multiple points with one goal and one assist.
The Titans led 8-2 at the break, scoring eight of the final nine goals in the opening 30 minutes. Detroit would also score six of the first seven goals in the second half to open a 14-3 lead over the Gaels. Snyder tallied two goals in the final 15 seconds of the contest to complete the scoring a notch her first career hat trick.
Detroit was credited with 30 shots for the game, while Saint Mary's had 19. Senior goalkeeper
Lexie McCormick made 13 saves in net to earn her second victory of the season. It was McCormick's fourth straight game in making at least 10 saves. Birney led the Titans with four draw controls.
Detroit is in the middle of a five-game, non-conference road swing and plays and next plays Monday, March 9 at Robert Morris for a 2 p.m. game.
