DETROIT (1/4/2016) -- It was a homecoming of sorts for first-year head coach Bernard Scott when the University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team hosted Cleveland State on Monday. The Titans hit a season-high 13 triples and four players scored in double figures as Detroit cruised to an 82-68 win over the Vikings to even its Horizon League record at 1-1.

Coach Scott spent five years as an assistant and associate head coach with Cleveland State under head coach Kate Peterson Abiad. The win over the Vikings was Scott's first Horizon League victory in his head coaching career.

Four players scored in double figures led by sophomore guard Nicole Urbanick (Grosse Ile, Mich. / Divine Child), who made six 3-pointers and scored 24 points. Junior guard Rosanna Reynolds (Canton, Mich. / Divine Child) added 18 points, nine rebounds and six assists, while sophomore Brianne Cohen (Toronto, Ont. / York Memorial) and freshmen Brittney Jackson (Brooklyn, N.Y. / Nazareth) each recorded 12 points for the Titans.

Detroit sank 50 percent of its 3-point attempts (13-of-26) for the game, including seven in the opening half. Urbanick, Jackson and freshman Lola Ristovski (Sterling Heights, Mich. / University Liggett) each hit two 3-pointers in the opening half. Detroit led 17-15 after one quarter.

Jackson hit back-to-back 3-pointers midway in the second quarter, but Cleveland State scored five straight points to knot the game, 29-29. Urbanick and Lola Ristovski each converted on triples in the final 75 seconds of the half and Urbanick closed the half with two free throws as Detroit led at the break, 39-36.

The Titans opened the second half on an 18-5 run to take a 57-41 lead over CSU with 1:28 left in the third quarter. Detroit out-scored Cleveland State, 23-9, in the third stanza with Reynolds scoring nine points in the frame.

Detroit led by as many as 22 points in the fourth quarter to clinch the win.

Lola Ristovski -- who converted on a rare four-point play in the first half -- nearly tallied her first collegiate double-double, posting nine points and nine rebounds. Junior Haleigh Ristovski (Sterling Heights, Mich. / University Liggett) posted a career-best seven assists and pulled down a team-high 11 rebounds.

Detroit shot 43.6 percent from the floor, while assisting on 20 baskets. The two teams each finished with 42 rebounds in the contest.

Khayla Livingston made six triples and led Cleveland State (3-9, 0-2 HL) with 20 points.
